What we collect

• Account details: your email address and sign-in identity.
• Recordings you make in the app: video and audio of you telling your story.
• Media you upload: clips, images and music you choose to add.
• Transcripts of what you said, produced automatically from your recording.
• Story data: scenes, shots, characters and the instructions sent to AI models.
• Generated media: every AI take and every finished video.
• Usage records: projects, purchases, generation attempts and errors.

Why we need it

We use your recording and uploads to plan your story, generate video, assemble the final cut, show you your projects again later, take payment, and investigate faults. We do not sell your data and we do not use your recordings for advertising.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Divide Comedy never sees or stores your full card details. We keep a record of the purchase itself — amount, currency, what it unlocked and when.

Who else processes your content

• Hosting, database and file storage providers that run the service.
• OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to, for transcription, story planning and video generation.
• Shotstack, which assembles your final video file.
• Authentication providers, if you sign in with Google.
• Error monitoring or analytics, only if we enable it later — this page will say so.

These providers receive only what they need to do their part, and only for as long as that work takes.

Keeping and deleting

Your original recording, generated takes and finished videos are kept in private storage tied to your account so you can come back to a project. Nobody else can read them. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your projects and stored media, apart from records we must keep for accounting.

Security

Files are private by default and served through short-lived links. Provider keys never leave our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not record anything you would be harmed by losing control of.

Age

Divide Comedy is a paid service for adults. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. It is not intended for children.

Where processing happens

Our providers operate internationally, so your content may be processed outside your own country. We only use providers that commit to appropriate protection for that transfer.
